About Old McDonald Roadhouse
Our Vision
I'm Alexis, the creator of Old McDonald Roadhouse. I'm a mother, wife, candle and soap maker, crafter, scientist, yoga instructor, nurse of people and pets, and animal rescuer. While in nursing school, I struggled to find the perfect soy candle that was toxin-free and had a good scent throw. My vision and hunt for the perfect candle reawakened my desire to create, and I began to take on the task of making a candle that fit my standards. With the support of my husband Mike, my vision grew into Old McDonald Roadhouse. We strive to become the preferred online destination for customers seeking high-quality handcrafted products. These include premium soy candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, soaps, and custom labels. We are committed to offering high-quality, small-batch products while providing exceptional customer service and a seamless shopping experience.
In 2024, I began teaching childbirth education classes to empower parents with the knowledge of natural birthing processes, informed decesion making, and tools to cope with labor. I am a Lazmaze Certified Childbirth Educator, certified Prenatal Yoga instructor, and am currently obtaining a lactation certification to support breastfeeding.
